How to advocate for the arts in your local schools

Let your local school board, superintendent, principal, teachers, and PTA know that every child’s education in the arts is important to you!

Attend school board and PTA meetings, and meet with your local school principal. Write or call your school’s superintendent. Tell them how important the arts are to you and to the quality of education their students receive.

Ask what your schools are doing to ensure a quality education in the arts. Ask your school’s art teachers how you can be involved.
